ATV trails in Jackman

Even with some closures due to logging during the week, our guests are finding there is plenty of riding to be found. This past weekend, here are some photos going south of town.

It was a beautiful day and they even made it through a 15 min downpour.

4th of July 2021 in Jackman

The 4th of July in Jackman is always a fun day. It usually starts with a parade through town.  Not only locals participate but we have a group of our guests that enter the parade every year.  And win!  SO feel free to join in the fun, even if you are just visiting.

After the parade, here at Cozy Cove, we have our annual potluck picnic with our guests. If you are not staying with us this year, you are still invited. Just bring a dish to share.

At dusk, the town has an awesome fireworks display. Some say it is the best in Maine.

This year the JMMRCOC is sponsoring A FREEDOM RACE in the morning of the 4th. They hope to make this an annual event too. Anyone is welcome to participate. The best part, we can cheer on the racers from our shore or along Main street.

Turtle Nest 2021

After a few days of looking for the right place to lay her eggs, Miss turtle here found a spot.  Took her most of the day to dig so she can safely lay her eggs.

We did not mark the area off this time. But in about 60 to 90 days, we will watch for the babies to head to the lake.  Good luck baby turtles..
