January 2012 QUOTES from our Guests

I realize that it is not quite January but the family who left today may have stayed into January had the cabin been available. They were just lovely and I wanted to share their New Year experience with you. We enjoyed seeing the kids sledding down the hill, even though only about an inch of snow on the ground and their excitement to walk on a frozen lake. SO thank you family for having such a great time in the Northeast and we hope your next visit, we have more snow.

December 28, 2011
We just arrived to a cozy warm cabin (it is 11 degrees outside). My family (hubby and 4 children) and I came all the way from Orlando Florida (75 degrees) to see some snow. We were not disappointed.
-On our 2nd day here we drove to the Canadian border & the views were breathtaking
-On our 3rd day we drove to Greenville to look for Moose & see the B-52 crash site. The road up the mountain was a little scary but we enjoyed the trip. No Moose 🙁 We ate lunch at Auntie Ms & the burgers were great. Note: Cash only dinner was at BigWood Steakhouse. Amazing.
We loved our visit. We are pulling out in the morning. Maine is a beautiful treasure, we cant wait to come again. We would stay in no other place. Truly a family feel. Our children are thrilled there is snow in the forecast tonight. What a nice end to our trip. Thanks for everything
Most sincerely yours, Randall, Kelly, Savannah, Randy, Andrew, & Kris Cabin #4

We had a bit of rain last night but the temperatures are dropping fast and what water was on the frozen lake, froze even more. Ice shacks have already gone out getting ready for the 2012 ice fishing season.

Now bring on the snow! Visit our webcam to see what is happening anytime.

Merry Christmas 2011

jackman-blog-ccc

We would like to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May 2012 bring you peace, joy, love. and prosperity.

Also, keep us in mind as you sing your Christmas Carols: LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW….IN JACKMAN!

Your singing has helped us already as you can see from our webcam shot from this morning. The sun is shining and skies are blue. We only got about 2-3 inches here in town but the lake is frozen, someone in town said it is about 6 inches, and we will be enjoying a white Christmas.

Time to start singing

Our night night temperatures have been well below 10 so the lake has a pretty nice coat of ice on it., A few more cold days and we should start seeing the shacks go out after Christmas.
Now, as for the snow….we need your help ❗
I have already asked our facebook fans to start singing but we also need you to sing along also. You know the words…
“OHHHH the weather outside is frightful, …”
LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW ❗ ❗ ❗

The good news, is that it is already working. I started thinking and singing this morning. It is snowing now!

Snowy mountains

For those of you who are not “FANS” of Cozy Cove Cabins on Facebook, I wanted to share this image of Big Wood, Hog Island, and the mountains beyond that I took the day after this last weeks storm. Personally, I think it is amazing.

I notice this morning you can see similar from our webcam but not quite the same image.
Enjoy the look of open water as it will not be long before the lake freezes over and all we will see is WHITE!

Maggie is lovin the snow

We had about 5-7 inches of heavy wet snow fall last night. And Miss Maggie is LOVING it 🙂

“OK Mom, I will pose for this one second but then I am going to run again”
