As most of the states are seeing, a big winter storm is passing through. This Noreaster is just arriving in Jackman. It is too cold to go out and take the picture but I did get a shot from our webcam just now.

We had a HUGE rainstorm last Saturday and wow I could not believe how high the lake came. This morning, even higher, dumping into our yard.

Seems to be a slow deer hunting season this year around the region but Kevin was the first of our guests to get his buck.

What more can I say

It was a bit overcast most of the day yesterday but by evening, the sky tried to clear so that by sunset, I looked out over the lake and saw 2 suns' reflecting on the lake. The real sun was still hiding behind a cloud just above the mountain.

The other evening, around 6:30, we and our friends Mike and Diane went for a little boat ride on the lake. It was a bit choppy at first but at a slow pace, it was nice. The colors of the water, sky and shadows on the mountains was incredible.

Last week, our friends (& repeat guests of Cozy Cove Cabins) asked me to join them on a scenic plane ride at sunset. I could not pass this up. This was my first tour of the region from the air and OH MY GOD was it incredible.

A group of 12 friends came to Jackman for their vacation this year and one theme they planned was for a Luau.

Of course, Mother Nature chose to give Jackman the same major storm as Hawaii had that

Crayfish or crawdad, or what I like to refer to our ""Lake lobster"" are actually closely related to the lobster. They are found in ""bodies of fresh water that do that do not freeze to the bottom and are mostly found where there is fresh water running through it.
