Ice out contest 2016 ends

Sorry to say but we have reached the deadline date to make your guess to this year-s ice out date. Good luck to those who entered.

I will post the date as when I hear what the town says. Keep an eye on further posts or our webcam to see what happens.

Murphy-s Boyfriend

Murphy-s boyfriend Cabo stayed with us last night with his Mom and Dad. This morning, Mom told me that when they let him out to “do his thing”, he went right over to where Murphy is buried and stated sniffing. I think he can still smell her and was hoping she would be there to play.

Where-s Murphy?

At least once a week this past month, some of our regular guests and even those guests new to us who have enjoyed the videos of Murphy on the website have asked when they arrived “where-s Murphy?”

Well yesterday was the best: When Heather and her Mom checked in, little Heather, who has been coming here since she was still in Moms tummy, asked this same question. When I could not answer her (what do you say to a 5 year old) she said “well if Murphy is not here, I am going home!” Of course, she only meant “home” to her cabin but her words said it all. She will be missed.

The eagle-s have landed!

Lisa, Joe and their children spent their summer vacation here last week and one day, took a tour of the lake on a boat. What an incredible sight they saw.

Lisa thought these were mom and dad eagles but they almost look brown to me. Either way, beautiful!

Father-s Day 2008

What an incredible weekend to enjoy Father-s Day in Jackman. It is about 80 degrees, a gentle breeze, the sun is shining and the skies are blue and best of all, no humidity ❗

If you are not here, we hope you all get to spend some time with your Dad tomorrow, and if you can-t, at least think of him.

Have a great weekend ❗ ❗
