First trail report for 2018

We just received trail update from the Border Riders Club.   Technically, the rails are open but they have only been rolled and panned so far.   We need another 6-8 inches before we can start grooming them.  With the snow today and more expected next week, they should be good to go for NEW Year Weekend.

The foresters notified the Club last week of areas affected which means, again, this affects our trail system.   Many people have been working hard to re route some trails and add new signs so that you all can get where you want to go.   Many changes this year so until they can get a new map printed,  please watch for signage.

Here are some of the key changes:

The clubhouse trail (North on the Dumas Road) will only be open on weekends, due to wood harvesting.
The Pittston Farm trail has changed dramatically – a longer ride.  Right now there is a rough section where we just excavated to connect to the Pittston trail.
There is no Alt ITS 89 South route this year as they will be wood harvesting.
There will be a section of ITS 88 that will be shared or rerouted in a couple weeks due to wood harvesting.
A firm reminder from the club:  Stay off any plowed road and do not ride in any wood plantations.  We do not want to loose our landowners permission to use their land.
I hope this helps for the first of the year trail report.

LET IT SNOW!!!
