What a great day by the water today. This is a webcam shot of a family reunion, I think 4 generations out there. Sunbathing, tubing, boating, fishing….what a day!
When the group first arrived a few days ago, Russ moved the picnic table seen in the foreground. I had to remind him that he was in direct line with the webcam, so no funny business on the table. I hope he knew what I meant.
SO just good to see a family enjoying each other and all that Jackman has to offer.
Attention hunters! I believe this may be a good year for all.
Our guests this summer are seeing more deer, bear and grouse then reported past summers. A few have told us the Partridge were everywhere! And Bears, mamma, babes as well as one quite large one seen just the other day.And a few bucks reported also, which is not often seen so easily. I think they usually hide behind their women!
They are seeing them out on the ATV trails, hiking and of course, the favorite pastime, just driving around.
Then there are always the Moose, but only if you were lucky to win the lottery.
So make your reservations soon for hunting season 2017.
When the sun is out, I, as most people, where our sunglasses. Do you ever notice how beautiful the sky and clouds look through polarized glasses? Then you take the picture, and it is just not the same. The clouds are not as white or sky not as blue. You all know what I mean.
And yes, I could have gone up and attached a polarized filter to my lens but I took the chance to see what my camera would do. It came out almost as I could see it. Crystal clear blue skies and many white puffy clouds. What a day!
Mark and Karen hoped to get a lot of fishing in this week. Weather was not always cooperative for smooth waters but today is a good day, and there they go! Good luck
As it happens every year, Celie and Kevin participated in the 4th of July parade for Cozy Cove Cabins. This year, it was Fred and Wilma Flintstone in their Flintstonemobile! FUN FUN. They won “Most Outrageous”
Then, after the parade, many of our guests headed down to the shore and had an old fashioned potluck picnic.
Good food, laughs, and the making of many new friends.
After, many of us went up to the town field for the incredible fireworks. Excellent display!
Carol was just sitting on a rock, catching some rays when this cute yellow duck popped up. You never know where you may see wildlife when you are in Jackman.
