It may be spring but the snow is still ever present in Jackman.
Riders this past weekend posted on the clubs FB page “Can’t believe how good the trails were this weekend! It was really perfect spring conditions out there. Thank you Jackman and Long Pond for making the trails great!! And with the snow it looks like we’ve got another good weekend coming up” Another rider wrote ” The best weekend of the year!!! Trails were mint.”
Then yesterday we did get another few inches. The groomers went out last night and all trails in the region are in really good condition to ride.
Our trail master said they will continue to groom as long as there is snow and riders.
SO come on up this week or this weekend. Spring riding is at its best!
What a blustery cold weekend we had up here. Wind chills around a minus 30 or more. A bit warmer today and the skies are clear but that will change tomorrow.
SNOW is in our forecast.
Our guests who were here this past weekend to ride said the trails were really good. They put on 160 miles or so the first day and less the second day only because”it was just too cold”. They road up to Pittston Farm, the Border loop and toward Parlin. THe in town trails were the worse part but all in all, riding was good.
SO what kind of trail report can I give? As said, snow is coming tomorrow. They are forecasting 8-12 but as long as we get even 6 inches, all trails are going to be good. Our base is solid, Big Wood is frozen, and our groomers will be going out.
Call soon if you want to ride this weekend.
It is that time again. Time for you all to try and guess when the ice will go out this year. The lake froze over well before season open on January 1st and it is still about 3 feet thick. We have had a bit of rain, then freeze, then snow, then melted snow then freeze and now the wind chill is about minus 47.
The ice out date last year was April 23rd at 4:30PM.
SO let the guessing begin.
So how this will work:
Choose your date and time. Including the time is new this year in case of multiple same dates are chosen. The person closest to the time will win.
Add a comment to this post with your guess as to the date and time the ice will go out this year. We can only accept one entry per person.
The winning date will be what the Town of Jackman records as the ice out date and time for 2017.
The winner will get 50% off one night when they stay with us 2 or more days or 1 full night free if they stay 4 or more days. This discount will expire December 31, 2017.
The deadline to post your vote this year is 8am on April 15th, 2017.
Please Note: Only one discount permitted per stay at Cozy Cove Cabins and our same discount rules apply. (payment by check or cash, cabin minimum must be met)

It really is simple: Click on register at the top right of Blog Page. Follow directions using the code ccc2017 when asked. You will then get an email to confirm you are who you are, then I approve that you are not a bot or a “nonAmerican” and you are good to go.
After this process, you will need to login to comment but you will not have to wait for me to approve you.
We hope you visit out blog and add comments as appropriate. Keep it clean and all comments will be posted. Thanks for visiting.
