Thanks for a lovely stay @ cozy Cove Cabins. The weather was incredible-85 degrees, good fishing, & the children greatly enjoyed the waterfront, paddleboats & fishing for yellow perch off the dock. We look forward to a return visit next spring. 38 brook trout:!:
Cabin #1 The Crocker Family, Maine
This year, Jackmans 4th of July events will take place on July 3rd. Starting at 4pm, Locals and visitors will line up on Main street to watch the parade. Dot, who has been organizing the parade the past few years, is still trying to find a marching band. Last I heard, she had no luck. BUT local residents and businesses all join in the fun making floats in hopes to win a prize.
At 9pm, everyone will gather at the town hall field for some great fireworks.
Hope to see you there!
Did you know that that you can travel by canoe, 749 miles from New York to Northern Maine? During that trip, you will cross over Big Wood Lake, Map #10. Stop on in if you need to take a break.
“The Northern Forest Canoe Trail is a long-distance paddling trail connecting the major watersheds across the Adirondacks and Northern New England.”
Below is a map image from their site to show the route.

What a gorgeous day out today. It is June 13th and we are just now seeing May Flies 😕 I guess that means the fishing should be great.
Last fall, Destination Polaris visited Jackman and made a video about ATVing in the region. They did a great job in representing Jackman in the fall: some fantastic scenery and worth watching if you get a chance.
I had some trouble finding out the show schedule but I believe it airs on Monday nights on the Outdoor Channel, show #22. I wish I could tell you when it may show again but check your program guide and visit Jackman ❗
